The Australia Awards in Indonesia is seeking applications for the role of Short Term Awards Manager to be based (fulltime) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Program
Australia Awards Indonesia is managed by Coffey on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The goal of Australia Awards Indonesia is that: Indonesia's development is enhanced by the contribution of internationally qualified professionals and a strong and positive relationship with Australia. This will contribute across the whole scope of the Australia Indonesia Partnership, including its goal to work in partnership with Indonesia to achieve a more prosperous, safe and democratic Indonesia.
The Position
The Short Term Awards Manager will be responsible for the management of the Short Term Awards Officers and casual staff to deliver quality workshops, mobilise awardees, record and obtain participant data, prepare logistics for workshop delivery teams, liaise with the delivery teams to design workshops and monitor workshops and other delivery in line with the DFAT guidelines and the objectives of Australia Awards Indonesia (AAI).
The Manager will report directly to the Short Term Awards Senior Manager in the design, tendering, oversight and monitoring of pre and post course activities. The role will also be responsible for overseeing cross-cutting initiatives in relation to Short Term Awards.
The Person
To be considered for this role you should have an experience in Human Resource Development, or Project Coordination in international development context. Having Knowledge of the Government of Indonesia, its structure for ministries and departments, its bureaucratic reform and HRD approaches and an ability to interact with Senior (Echelon II and above) counterparts. The post holder also need to understand of the Australia Higher Education Sector. High level proficiency in spoken and written in English is needed as well as experiences in managing a small team.
